Atlas is a geography quiz app designed to work fully offline. No account or sign-in is required to play.
When analytics sharing is enabled, Atlas may collect:
Atlas does not collect your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, advertising identifier (IDFA), precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, health information, or payment information.
Analytics are used to understand how Atlas is used, improve quizzes and features, measure engagement and retention, identify technical or product issues, and understand broad geographic usage patterns.
Atlas does not use this information to track you across apps or websites, and the data is not used for cross-company advertising tracking.
Atlas does not request access to your device's precise location and does not use GPS.
When analytics are uploaded, the server may derive an approximate country and state/region from the network connection. This represents the location where the analytics were uploaded and may not represent where the quiz was originally played. For example, activity performed offline may be uploaded later from another location.
Atlas remains fully usable without an internet connection. Analytics events are stored locally when offline and may be uploaded later when a connection becomes available. Gameplay does not depend on analytics or network access.
Analytics sharing can be disabled from Atlas settings. Turning analytics sharing off stops new analytics collection and clears analytics events that are still waiting to upload from the device.
Information that has already been transmitted to the analytics service is not automatically deleted when analytics sharing is disabled.
Detailed analytics data is generally retained for up to 90 days. Certain normalized usage records and event receipts may be retained for up to 365 days. Aggregate App Store download statistics may be retained for up to 730 days. Backup systems may retain information for a limited additional period.
Atlas may use infrastructure providers to process and store analytics, including Cloudflare for network routing and coarse location processing, a backend hosting provider such as Render, and a managed PostgreSQL provider such as Neon.
Apple separately provides aggregate App Store download and distribution information to the developer.
Atlas currently does not contain advertising SDKs and does not use IDFA or cross-app tracking.
Atlas does not require users to create an account and is not designed to collect names, contact details, or other directly identifying information.
This policy may be updated when Atlas features or data practices change. The latest version will always be available at this page.
